Prepare for a career improving patient health at the forefront of the modern healthcare system. By studying human biology and disease, pharmaceutical chemistry and physical sciences, you’ll learn about the causes and progression of medical conditions and how drugs exert their effects.
You'll also learn about the appropriate prescribing, supply and administration of medications and the principles of disease progression and medicines optimisation.
With work placements in hospitals, GP surgeries and community pharmacies, you can decide the area that fits you best.
You can choose between countryside and coast, with our highly-ranked 4-year MPharm pharmacy course available to study at both the University of Bath and the University of Plymouth.
For those interested in studying our four-year programme but don't quite have the qualifications needed to apply, there is the option to apply to study our five-year Plymouth-based MPharm with preparatory year.
This programme provides the knowledge and experience to bring students to the same academic standing as those entering year one of our four-year MPharm. If you successfully pass the preparatory year, you will be able to progress on to year one of our four-year MPharm.
Whichever programme you choose to study, you will graduate with a University of Bath MPharm degree.
